i've got my spine

Image hosted by Photobucket.com last night we saw Star Wars. Anakin reminded me of Topher Grace. I felt like the story really came together and I enjoyed it, although the whole star wars story can be repetetive, but i suppose that is what is comforting about it. I was goofing around doing some sort of Sporty Spice hair-do. today i am going to get one of these. i love them! i like the words Senator Palpatan, Viceroy, Lord Vader, Tattoeen, Qwi-gon, Ben Kenobi, R-2, 3PO, wookies and all that other star wars mumbo jumbo. i made home fries, scrambled eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast. i'm gonna get fat here in a minute, if i'm not already. i'm eating for all those poor starving celebritites out there.

random-osity.

this morning i cooked bacon whilst brewing coffee.... one of my all-time-favoritest of activities. i cut scott's hair, which was fun. it's like mowing the lawn. a very gratifying experience. Image hosted by Photobucket.com we went to the vidoe store and rented Team America. Also this morning, we watched The Life Aquatic which is an extremely strange movie; but, it made me sleepy, and i like movies that do that-- like Dead Man, that movie is guaranteed to put me to sleep but I LOVE IT. I especially love Crispin Glover in that movie. YEP~ Image hosted by Photobucket.com crispin glover rules, mcfly! other than that, oh we watched Assault on Precint 13 which was a fun movie, but quite cheesy. Made me think that Uma is prolly proud that she makes better movies than Ethan, but Ethan is still cute in my book. I am now cooking a tri-tip roast and some baked potatoes with extra potatoes so i can make homefries in the morning.

piss and vinegar

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. - Albert Einstein. Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is very funny. If you don't watch it, trouble is sure to come your way by the end of the day. Also, this song is beautiful. My face is all swollen cuz of some problems with the whole root canal thing. it sucks. yesterday i had to take a percocet. i took 1/3 of it and then waited and took another third and then waited and took the last. i was trying to avoid becoming ill, but i became ill anyway. while we were grocery shopping. i made it to the bathroom tho. you know it is so funny how when famous celebrities start to live a "normal" life, we see how F'd up everyone really is. it is because of the sickness of our society. get down with the sickness. can i get a witness?

You scored as Postmodernist. Postmodernism is the belief in complete open interpretation. You see the universe as a collection of information with varying ways of putting it together. There is no absolute truth for you; even the most hardened facts are open to interpretation. Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis.

alcohol is bad. i like to drink wine. i like to drink beer. i like to drink sometimes. but not always. i prefer herbal remedies. i have alcoholism on three sides of my family. it killed my father. put my grandma in the hospital. there are a lot of things about drinking that i dislike. it smells bad. it makes you get dehydrated.

less is more

I think I have to get a root canal today. one of my favorite songs right now is Country Death Song by the Violent Femmes. It really grabs me, man. I'm in the phase where i want to hear it over and over REALLY LOUD! You will probably think me quite an ill individual if you listen to it. but, i started liking that song when i was 18, and i haven't killed anyone, yet-- so don't worry your pretty little head about me. anyway, yeah.... this is some sort of psychological self-portrait. it's me. Image hosted by Photobucket.com for the first 5 years of my life, i lived at Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert. my dad was in the air force. (i put, "forced" and then had to go back and delete the "d", but that is an interesting typo) Image hosted by Photobucket.com I've always thought this picture was so cute and funny. I am the blonde with a handful of weeds in her fist. the other one is my cousin Susan.

why?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com i am beside myself. it seems like i am so easily overcome with emotion. no, it doesn't seem that way. it is that way. i am an extremely emotional person. my emotions drag me around by the ear or the nose or whatever body part it is they grab onto! everything i say is a pointless waste of time and life seems redundant sometimes. and so, you know, is it better to think too highly of myself or too low? or should i just try to be accurate? is that even possible? it's like i'm all tied up in knots! today, i went to a church picnic with my mom, stepdad, grandma, brother and son. it was interesting. my grandma is old and i spent much of the time helping her and keeping her company. it was SO HOT outside. very muggy. i am not used to hot weather, anymore. tomorrow, i will go back to humboldt county where i like the weather and the pace very much. tonight i will watch survivor and drink cheap merlot. oh, i was reading this book called Go Ask Alice. It is interesing. It's the journal of this 15-year old girl who wrote it in the 70's. another thing that I will mention for everyone's information, if you don't know this: I live in what is called the "hum-bubble". Behind the redwood curtain. so, yeah, often I am behind the times on a lot of things. plus i don't watch tv anymore or read newspapers, so i am not much in contact with the outside world. okay. that's about it for now.

a fool am EYE

utter and complete. i may as well just admit it right now. i was looking at this military quotes site and they have adolf hitler quotes and i am going to read them and i was wondering if i should risk putting it on my blog cuz ppl FREAK out over Hitler, man. I am not a nazi or a white supremacist. i am an anthropologist.anyway, i have this shirt and... it is a Tibetan shirt, but it has Swastikas on it and they are mixed with other sanskrit writing and buddhist imagery, but some ppl get like all political if you put the freakin confederate flag in your window cuz you know, it violates their rights and I personally have no interest in flying the confederate flag, but i do value freedom of expression and an open forum, etc. boy oh boy. i'll get off my soap box, now.

everybody sucks

hi. i am mad! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

As witnesses not of our intentions but of our conduct, we can be true or false, and the hypocrite's crime is that he bears false witness against himself. What makes it so plausible to assume that hypocrisy is the vice of vices is that integrity can indeed exist under the cover of all other vices except this one. Only crime and the criminal, it is true, confront us with the perplexity of radical evil; but only the hypocrite is really rotten to the core --Hannah Arendt (1906 - 1975), On Revolution (1963)

Some people seem to think that they have somehow cornered the market on blogging just because they have developed a sizeable following. It is pathetic. Blogs serve different purposes for different people and everyone has the right to experiment with their(his/her) own blog. Everyone is influenced by someone else! Why be negative and judgmental about other bloggers? Why not encourage others to be creative and interesting instead of just talking shit? Not everyone is at the same level and it is wrong to criticize people because they aren't as supposedly talented and original as YOU think YOU are! It's not right!

Just because you have a lot of people who approve of you doesn't mean you are genuinely a cool or good person. It could just mean that all of the people who approve of you are vapid, mindless automatons!

I think it is better to focus on the things you like and let the other people do their own thing.

I feel like I should be able to do what I want with my blog. It is MINE. Who the hell cares if people approve or think it is "shitty"? That is just an opinion, and you know what they say about those!

Sorry. I got maaaad. I got maaaad. I got maaaad. Everybody gets maaaad.

I am ME! JUST ME! Sorry if you think it's dumb. Maybe I think YOU are dumb. Maybe people are so fascinated with some blogs just because they are amazed by the arrogance and myopia of said blogs. ? I dunno. I don't claim to be providing some kind of public service to the world by posting my random thoughts on the internet. It is purely for my own entertainment purposes. If you are also entertained, well that is wonderful for you.

Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd. Edith Sitwell (1887 - 1964)

I went for a walk down to the liquor store and got me some Pacifico and a couple of lemons. Yep! Time for a celebration! Finals Week has come to a close! YEEEEEEEHAAWW!!!! Praise Jesus! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

you got lucky babe

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Tom Petty rules. one time, at band camp.... no, i mean: one time my dad took me to see Tom Petty at Arco Arena. My cousin F.J. also came with us. Some woman was with us, too... but, I am not sure which one. One of my Dad's many disastrous relationships, I imagine. Anywho-- I didn't really have a deep, passionate love for Tom Petty at the time, but I still thought it would be cool to go to his concert. IT rocked my face off! Really, it was so good. That night, I went home and had a dream that my spirit floated over to Tom Petty's house and he was having a party and I floated around in spirit form and then my ghost made out with Tom Petty. It was really an impactful dream. I've always been very sure that Tom Petty is cool, since then.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com I don't mind doing the dishes, generally. I actually enjoy cleaning the house, when I have time at my disposal. As soon as other things begin to press in on my time, though, tidiness is one of the first things to go. Image hosted by Photobucket.com i took a nap this afternoon, which never fails to ruin my mood for some time. i have too much shit to do. sleep is not an option. i need to handle stress better.

never quite as it seems

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com I took a TON of KILLER pictures today! I am busy photochopping them. photography is like hunting. you have to capture images. they're all around you! like dreams.

It is human nature to think wisely and act foolishly - Anatole France At this point in the semester, I seriously will be grateful if I just pass all of my classes. Today, all I have to do is make sure two papers get turned in; and, then my last final is tomorrow. Primatology. Image hosted by Photobucket.com le sigh.
