nvm

here is a brilliant video where i flash my bra (unintentional, i swear. i wasn't trying to be sexy and i honestly don't think it looks sexy, actually) the main point is the talking.
here ya go.

red in tooth and claw
today we saw lizards mating in the wild.
it was rough.
the boy lizard was not nice to the girl lizard.
no foreplay or anything.
he just JUMPS on her and bites her neck and she is like DYING and
does he even care about her pleasure, enjoyment or even desire?
i GUESS you could call that mating.
today we had lunch at el pollo loco. i had tortilla soup. it was really good!
we also went to trader joes which was awesome, too.

that's not a word

this is a very stupid video made with a very broken camera so it's just bad. but if you really want to hear me speak, then watch it.

Yesterday I mowed the front lawn.
albeit, I did a pretty shoddy job of it,
but still I made the effort
even after getting really mad
because it was hard to get the lawnmower out of the shed
I had to turn it on its side and lift it up awkwardly
because the opening it had to fit thru
was not wide enough!
argh!
but I moved past that
and then I had to deal with the handle of the lawnmower
vibrating so vigorously
that my hands were purple, swollen and itchy for like ten minutes
after I was finished mowing.
This morning, I was out in the front yard
looking at a tree frog
and some guy who was trying to visit someone across the street
asks me if I have a pen or pencil he can use. I was polite and stopped what I was doing and kindly retrieved him a pen even tho I thought his behavior was highly irregular.
He told me his life story and asked me about mine.
His mom is from Arkansas.
see?
it was cool but I felt that feeling of obligation...
it was like he didn't know any better
than to just be so familiar with me.
haha
those are the kind of people I attract.
Don't even pay attention to me.
I am just spouting B.S.
I am going to ride my bike now.Posted by carrie at 5/08/2007 11:09:00 AM |
yes no
night at the museum is a total kids movie.
i'd say it pretty much makes no sense to watch it unless you either
are a kid
or have a kid with you
because that is the only way it would be fun.
i suppose there are probably other ways..
like if you played a drinking game
where everyone has to drink
everytime someone in the movie
says "yeah no"
or "no no no yeah"

i guess our neighbors are having a drink-all-day marathon. they are just standing around outside talking drinking and smoking. part of me wants to go out there and join them; but, that will not be the choice i make today (or anytime soon). i am curious about them tho because they are all a bunch of drunks complete and total. always entertaining to spy upon. they are funny in a way that is pretty messed up if you think too much about it, but what can ya do?
alcohol IS poison ('cept moderate wine) and when i drink three or four glasses (which is too much for one day) i feel the negative effects on my body.

read the above sign a little more closely. haha

under that slide is where the memorial is to the boy who committed suicide a month or two ago. all those little boys were talking about it and i was eavesdropping. they were saying that he didn't really kill himself because somebody else did it. etcetera... yesterday morning there was a parade, mostly it was just a fire engine blowing its siren and a bunch of trucks full of kids and covered with balloons. they also threw candy which people went out and collected off the street. i don't think it was meant to be in recognition of cinco de mayo, though. there was no indication of that.

deep purple
have we all already discussed that it is much more fun to clean someone else's house than it is your own? well, that is how i have always felt about it.
today has been spent in cleaning because my mom and my grandma are coming to my house and so... you know... it's gotta be Spic-N-Span. Not that it wasn't before, but i wanted to do a touch up here and there. ;-)
it has been fun.
reminds me of a time when (it was after my dad died) I basically spent a year just cleaning and clearing clutter and cleaning and organizing, etc. you would be surprised how long that can keep you occuppied. Posted by carrie at 5/04/2007 06:44:00 PM |
give or take
are you ready for cinco de mayo?
we are having a big celebration with out-of-town guests and everything!
i am rethreading my bead necklace which broke the first day i had it.
it will go perfectly with what i am wearing right now
which i think looks good, but i never really know until i take a picture. or 10,364

is it sustainable?
i don't think i've taken a single picture today. THAT is a freakin miracle.
we've had a couple of days of srping and then here it is cold again. in May.

i made pasta e fagioli today. Posted by carrie at 5/02/2007 07:12:00 PM |
absentminded
i <3 rye bread & rye crackers
i have never eaten dandelion greens, have you? i would want to be sure they were grown without any chance of contaminants. i am going to have a salad today.
i hear someone talking outside. the wind is carrying his voice so even though he is out on the road in front of the neighbor's house it sounds like he is right by our window. i guess it is annoying me.

meanwhile...
ugh
omg (!)
all these sirens are going on outside
fire trucks
ambulance
i know something is going on in this town and it must be kinda big, cuz normally nothing goes on. a fire? what?
i MUST know this instant.
but it is too cold and stormy outside and i am not going to put forth the effort required to go outside and find out what is going on so now i am all angsty wondering what could it BE? i bet a lot of other bored people in this teeny tiny town are actually biking, walking, driving around trying to find out what's up. people are outside, on the fone, driving by, etc. scott thinks i am hilarious. he is not like me. he isn't very nosey about other people. i am a looky-loo. always on my tiptoes peeking over under and around curtains to see what people are doing. i'm just very curious. nosey. i cannot STAND it if people are outside making noise, gathering, doing something... i just HAVE too see what it is. i don't need to know, obviously, but i think it is better to be aware of your surroundings and actually, sometimes i am hypervigilant about that but other times i'm tres oblivious about things other ppl would find obvs.
