yesterday we ate at this place that had korean & japanese. they had an all-you-can-eat sushi bar which was perfect for scott cuz he usually orders upwards of $40 worth of sushi/sashimi. i ordered some korean stuff which was okay, but at least it came in a bento box!

the thing i liked most were the vinegared cucumbers. they weren't pickles, they were not pickled. but no kimchi? and i wanted to try that bibim bop soup stuff that raymi mentioned but there was nothing by that name on the menu even tho they had tons of korean soups. maybe it was called something else? i don't know. but scott slipped me a sake/salmon, an unagi and a shrimp tempura. mmmmm. our whole meal was only $21 and he ate a LOT of sushi. the sushi bar had these little sushi boats floating around it with examples of fake sushi on them. that was funny. it was like we were riding on pirates of the caribbean, only not really.
