was it an accident?

i did get a canvas today. it is the largest canvas i will have ever used.
that is cool and makes me happy.
i kind of want to do another poppy painting.
a different composition, just for variety.

we ate at the buffet in the Atlantis Casino. it was an adventure, that is certain.

i took bites of a lot of stuff, but only a few things were good enough to eat more than a bite. taking pics of the stuff makes it feel like you are getting more for your money. the carnitas tacos with lemon squirted on were my fave. i love real corn tortillas.

scott was wanting more of a seafood oriented buffet... which would have been good, yes... but we were short on time and had to make do with only prime rib, shrimp and hot pastrami carved from a pastrami roast?. pastrami is the most sensual of the salted, cured meats.

the stuffed salmon was greasy yet somehow also dry. not worth eating. i don't know why i thought it would be.

for dessert i tasted a macaroon and a pecan bar. they were both too good to be really enjoyed right then so i had to wrap them in a napkin and take them with me. i know you're not supposed to do that and they probably have me on film and are going to send me a ticket.

we went to the VA hospital.
i did a lot of people watching there and made some observations i'm sure you'll find fascinating.

many people who are older do not keep up with the latest fashions, or any fashion, really. nor do many older people seem to care, anymore, if their clothes cling to their bulges, or even that they have bulges, i guess.

it is a luxury to be obsessed with appearance.
